The sixth evening of the Mahler festival: the Berlin Philharmonic, led by chief conductor Kirill Petrenko, will take listeners on a breathtaking tour through the peaks and valleys of Mahler’s Sixth Symphony.
On the seventh day of the Festival, Mahler uses his Seventh Symphony to explore the outer limits of the orchestra’s capabilities in a performance by the Vienna Philharmonic conducted by Daniel Barenboim.

The ninth evening of the Mahler Festival will present Mahler’s final complete symphony. The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra will perform Mahler’s Ninth: an ode to – and farewell from – life itself.
The Mahler Festival will conclude with Iván Fischer and the Budapest Festival Orchestra performing two of Mahler’s most breathtaking works: Das Lied von der Erde and the Adagio from the Tenth Symphony.
